Tips and Tricks

During my journy of creating a website (as of now a pretty basic one, but still) I’ve picked up some useful tips and tricks and wanted to share them with you so you don’t need to figure them out yourself.

• 1. decide if you want to make a website for fun, (low stress) or for a buisness (high stress) (I’m a kid, so I obviously chose for fun.)
• 2. If you think you had a good idea, write it down
• 3. look over all of your ideas and if you have enough, most likely something will stand out
• 4. set up a wordpress account (or similar)
• 5. come up with a plan and set aside time in the week to brainstorm and work on your website
• 6. after all that, it’s finally time to chose a theme for your website. For a basic website, I would recomend the twenty twenty-five theme, as it’s always supported. I used the “blogus” theme, for a blog.
• 7. Now you can focus on writing content and keeping your site health good
• 8. once you have a considerable amount of content, Its time to search for a domain name! There are many ways to get domain names, but the most recomended is AWS. Your domain name is your websites name, so make sure you want the name without a doubt.
• 9. now you will need to connect your domain to a server (if it isn’t already) using AWS
• 10. now all you need to do is keep your site healthy, make content, and have fun!
